I have just set up a new Yahoo group called QS Academia Network. This is for those who have an interest in quantity surveying research, teaching, training and related fields including project and business management in construction. The network is primarily for academics in universities and colleges, but practitioners are also very welcome to join.

Members may post messages relating to any topical issues pertaining to academic or professional practice.

An annual conference will be held to bring together QS academics and practitioners. The inaugural conference will be on 5th May 2009 at the International Islamic University Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.
